oh look Kate Leth’s “original comic” is getting press. Here’s the cover of this tumblr-inspired shit.

This line at the comic book resources interview made me laugh: “The difference between our heroes and a lot of superhero/magical team books is that none of our protagonists expected to be heroes, or are even the best fit for it.”

you mean like Spider-Man?

“Batman had that tragic childhood and dedicated his life to fighting crime, our characters were just living their day-to-day lives. None of them are born leaders. They struggle with their powers and their new responsibilities in a bunch of different ways.”

you mean like fucking Spider-Man?

Kate wants to make sure we all know that these are ORIGINAL CHARACTERS, not like any other comics you’ve seen before. Or magical girl shows you’ve seen before. Or American cartoons you’ve seen before. It’s just a coincidence that it looks like she took popular cartoons, popular superheroes, and the only two magical girl shows she’s heard of (Sailor Moon and Card Captor Sakura) and put them through a tumblr filter.

POWER UP more like RIPPED OFF am i right

in case you’re too lazy to click to the interview here is the actual dialogue from a whole preview page

BLACK GIRL: OKAY

BLACK GIRL: WHAT

BLACK GIRL: WHAT IS HAPPENING?!

Kate clearly working hard to earn those Boom paychecks

MOD 1:  Unsurprisingly, her superhero comic is just like every other indie comicfag’s superhero comic:  a watered down retread of old Marvel superheroes.

Thanks for living down to our expectations, Kate.

Also slicing the palms of my hands the pain giving me sick pleasure as I look at the giant red noses on this, just laughing filthy derisive mocking laughter at this art hahaha holy fuck it’s the gayest faggoty boring shit humanly possible.

Oh man

holy shit that art is so fucking awful HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I can draw better than this.

Don't be the product, buy the product!
